"...Samuel was one of Her Majesty's Justices for a number of years, as he is mentioned in that capacity. Feb. 1709, Feb. 1710, and Oct. 10, 1713. He is mentioned frequently in the RJ from 1693 until 1715, during which period he was clearly living in Jamaica. There follows a gap until 1732, when he is mentioned in the RJ as a resident of Oyster Bay.
