George W. Gillen
The family of Mr. Charles Gillen near Millbrook, seem to be called upon to experience unlimited misfortunes. About two years ago their residence was burned. Only a few weeks ago Mrs. Gillen fell and broke her ankle so seriously that her foot had to be amputated. Last week their son Alfred was plowing when the horse became restless and provoked him to such an extent that he threw a stone at it. The stone rebounded and striking his father, who stood nearby, shattered the shin bone of his leg. Both Mr. and Mrs. Gillen are old people and their hurts are serious. To cap the climax, the high wind of Wednesday blew the roof from their large barn.
