ALVAH ARVEN TROWBRIDGE

Alvah Trowbridge was a preacher who resided in Port Oram, now Wharton,  in Morris Co., New Jersey.  His farm was located at what is now Trowbridge Road. in Wharton near the now defunct Morris Canal.  Unfortunately, when Alvah died, he was heavily in debt, and his farm, which consisted of several hundred acres was auctioned off by his creditors, leaving his widow, Mary, penniless.
