Ditto Family Fund Raiser - September 16, 2001
15 Cars, 28 Members
$4,500 Raised For The Ditto Family!
FCC was asked to supply cars to help draw people into a fund raiser for Ken Ditto. Ken was a Black Smith in Chuluota, where he did the horse shoe work for Orlando Police Dept., Seminole County P.D., Orange County Sheriffs and Disney. Ken also had a large stable where he rehabilitated sick horses and kept horses that would have otherwise been put down. He died of a sudden Heart Attack at age 48, leaving behind his wife and 3 children.
Parking was a little tight, but once we got them lined up they looked great. Considering the weather on the previous days the effort of the FCC members to get them looking good was very much appreciated by the crowd.
The Chuluota VFW post was the very appropriate host for the event. FCC's good friend Bill of the Oviedo Elbow Room did all the work and donated all the food to help raise money for the family.
