“Ağir zeybek usul": as a definitive structural element of zeybek music and its analysis

Okan Murat Öztürk is one of Turkey’s most respected instrumentalists. He teaches at the 19 Mayıs Samsun Devlet Konservatuarı in Samsun. He has done much research in the area of Zeybek culture, particularly its music, and is the author of "Zeybek Culture and Its Music" (2006, Pan Yayincilik). In addition he will be playing at our Saturday Night Concert.
