Introduction:

A. First, Let me answer the question: "Is Homosexuality A Chosen Lifestyle Or Is A Person Born Queer?"

1. Everyone is born with the Adamic Nature.

Rom 3:10-18, "As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one: {11} There is none that understandeth, there is none that seeketh after God. {12} They are all gone out of the way, they are together become unprofitable; there is none that doeth good, no, not one. {13} Their throat an open sepulchre; with their tongues they have used deceit; the poison of asps under their lips: {14} Whose mouth full of cursing and bitterness: {15} Their feet swift to shed blood: {16} Destruction and misery in their ways: {17} And the way of peace have they not known: {18} There is no fear of God before their eyes."

2. Our Actions come from Our Heart.

Mat 15:19, "For out of the heart proceed evil thoughts, murders, adulteries, fornications, thefts, false witness, blasphemies:"

3. However, whether it be sexual sins --- murders --- thefts --- lying --- or blasphemies --- We Have A Choice.

Josh 24:15, "And if it seem evil unto you to serve the LORD, choose you this day whom ye will serve; ---- but as for me and my house, we will serve the LORD."

John 3:19-20, "And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil. {20} For every one that doeth evil hateth the light, neither cometh to the light, lest his deeds should be reproved."

B. AIDS (Acquired Immunodeficiency Syndrome) is largely a Disease of Homosexuals --- whose Lifestyles are Offensive, Repulsive, and Heinous to Christians.

1. Yes, I realize that Many straight people have aids, which they have acquired various ways.

2. However, Aids started as a homosexual disease and is still primary a homosexual, drug abuser, and multiple sex partner disease.

C. Most Methods of acquiring AIDS is Strictly Forbidden by God's Word --- Over 98%.

AIDS was originally called HTLV-III because it was the third retrovirus discovered in humans.

3. ARC --- AIDS Related Complex

Symptoms such as thrush (a fungal infection of the mouth), inflammation of the gums, herpes Type I lesions (blisters that are extremely painful), diarrhea, fever and sweats, and severe weight loss (the "wasting syndrome"). Also neurologic symptoms such as numbness, muscle dysfunction, and confusion.

5. AIDS --- Acquired Immunodeficiency Syndrome

I. A Brief History Of The AIDS Epidemic:

A. While Homosexual Activity Can be kept Discreet, AIDS Cannot.

B. The disease was Unknown in 1980.

1. First report of AIDS appeared in June 1981.

2. Didn't attracted attention until 1982.

3. Had it cause (HIV) identified in 1984.

C. There then began a Steady Growth of AIDS in Epidemic Portions.

1. 1981, November --- There were 153 cases in homosexuals and one woman.

2. 1982, September --- 579 cases had been reported.

3. 1983, March 4 --- Over 1200 cases had been reported.

4. 1984, October 9 --- Dr. Merv Silverman, director of the Public Health Department of San Francisco, ordered that 14 bathhouses be closed.

5. 1984, December --- 4,686 cases had been reported.

6. 1985, June --- Over 6,000 cases had been reported.

7. 1985, July 23rd --- News leaded out that Rock Hudson had AIDS. --- (Died October 2, 1985)

8. 1985, December --- 8,631 cases had been reported, with a slight increase in the percentage of women with AIDS.

9. 1988 --- 2,733 cases reported each month.

10. 1989 --- 2,918 cases reported each month.

11. 1990 --- 3,644 cases reported each month.

12. 1991, March --- 171,876 cases of AIDS reported.

13. Today, it is in the 100's of thousands.

II. How Critical & Dangerous Is This Plague?

A. First, let's notice how Wide Spread Homosexuality is in our nation --- since AIDS is basically a Homosexuality Disease.

1. Any statistics on the numbers of homosexuals in the United States are at best mere "Guesses" --- usually for a Self-Serving Purpose.

a. Alfred Kinsey's statistics state that 10% of the population is "more or less exclusively homosexual."

b. Most such reports are only "Wishful Thinking" on the part of Anti-Christian Sympathizers.

2. Estimates in 1962 and 1971 suggested 1-2 Percent and 2-3 Percent respectively.

3. A poll of the Playboy Foundation in 1972 found 1 Percent --- and this where Sexual Freedom is Rampant.

4. Paul Cameron conducted a survey that showed 1-2 Percent.

5. A 1988 survey by the National Opinion Research Center found 2.8 Percent were exclusively homosexual.

6. From these statistics, you may conclude that, At Most, 4 Percent of males are exclusively homsexual --- some experts believe that the number is closer to 1-2 Percent.

7. Another 1-2 Percent may be Bisexual.

B. Now that I have given you these stats, let me say that, Right or Wrong they are Not Important.

1. For the purpose of this lesson, it is not important whether 4 Percent or 20 Percent of the population are homsexual.

2. If the Rest of The Population would follow God's Teachings --- 99% of them would never get AIDS.

3. Thus, the Homosexuals would eventually Kill Themselves Off (with AIDS) and the percentage would be even less.

C. Of those who Live By God's Laws, only about 1 Percent will ever get AIDS.

D. Why does Casual Infection of HIV Not Occur?

1. Blood-to-blood exposure is almost always required.

2. The concentration of viral particles in most body fluids is usually low.

Although all body fluids have been found to contain HIV in infected patients --- all infectious processes depend upon the number of infected particles, as well as actual exposure.

3. HIV is Not very Hardy.

While HIV has been reported to survive as long as 15 days on a moist surface, it lives only 3 days when dried. Even so, the survival in this experiment was artificial, in that the concentration of the virus used was 100,000 times greater than what usually occurs in the blood of an HIV-infected person.

4. HIV is Not highly Infectious.

While its routes of transmission have been compared to hepatitis B virus, HIV is 50 times less likely to be transmitted by needle-stick than HBV.

5. Common Household Products readily Kill HIV.

Household bleach in a 1:10 dilution, rubbing alcohol (isopropyl), ethyl alcohol, formaldehyde, lysol, and hydrogen peroxide are effective to inactivate HIV within minutes of exposure.

E. What about Mosquitoes?

Because of the blood-blood requirement, mosquitoes, bed bugs, and other biting/bloodsucking insects seem to be a natural vehicle for HIV transmission. Mosquitoes are known to spread other diseases in this way, such as yellow fever and malaria. However, there is serious question whether HIV survives and is able to infect a person.

Mosquito transmission was suspected in Florida, when a high concentration of AIDS patients was reported there. However, no child from 2-10 years of age was infected, and neither was anyone over the age of 60 years. Furthermore, the area has widespread prostitution and IV-drug abuse.

Africa is an even better example because of the large numbers of AIDS patients in an environment where mosquito transmission of disease is rampant. If mosquitoes transmitted HIV, children would be expected to be infected along with adults, as with other mosquito-borne diseases. But children do not become infected with HIV at any detectable rate other than in utero or from HIV-infected blood during a transfusion.

III. The Bible Position & How The Church Should Respond To AIDS?

A. Homosexuality Is An Abomination To God.

Lev 18:22-30, "Thou shalt not lie with mankind, as with womankind: it abomination. {23} Neither shalt thou lie with any beast to defile thyself therewith: neither shall any woman stand before a beast to lie down thereto: it confusion. {24} Defile not ye yourselves in any of these things: for in all these the nations are defiled which I cast out before you: {25} And the land is defiled: therefore I do visit the iniquity thereof upon it, and the land itself vomiteth out her inhabitants. {26} Ye shall therefore keep my statutes and my judgments, and shall not commit of these abominations; any of your own nation, nor any stranger that sojourneth among you: {27} (For all these abominations have the men of the land done, which before you, and the land is defiled; {28} That the land spue not you out also, when ye defile it, as it spued out the nations that before you. {29} For whosoever shall commit any of these abominations, even the souls that commit shall be cut off from among their people. {30} Therefore shall ye keep mine ordinance, that commit not of these abominable customs, which were committed before you, and that ye defile not yourselves therein: I the LORD your God."

B. Homosexuality is the Bottom Rung on the ladder of Rebellion against God.

1. It is at this point that God Has "Given Them (the rebellious ones) Up" to the full extent of their wickedness.

2. Homosexuality Itself is the Results of God's Judgment.

3. C. Homosexuality and going after Strange Flesh is The Reason God Destroyed Sodom & Gomorrah.

Gen 13:13, "But the men of Sodom wicked and sinners before the LORD exceedingly."

Gen 18:20-21, "And the LORD said, Because the cry of Sodom and Gomorrah is great, and because their sin is very grievous; {21} I will go down now, and see whether they have done altogether according to the cry of it, which is come unto me; and if not, I will know."

Gen 19:5-7, "And they called unto Lot, and said unto him, Where the men which came in to thee this night? bring them out unto us, that we may know them. And Lot went out at the door unto them, and shut the door after him, {7} And said, I pray you, brethren, do not so wickedly."

The Angels Said Unto Lot --- Gen 19:12-13, "And the men said unto Lot, Hast thou here any besides? son in law, and thy sons, and thy daughters, and whatsoever thou hast in the city, bring out of this place: {13} For we will destroy this place, because the cry of them is waxen great before the face of the LORD; and the LORD hath sent us to destroy it."

D. God Will Do The Same Thing Again --- But More So.

Mat 10:14-15, "And whosoever shall not receive you, nor hear your words, when ye depart out of that house or city, shake off the dust of your feet. {15} Verily I say unto you, It shall be more tolerable for the land of Sodom and Gomorrha in the day of judgment, than for that city.

2 Pet 2:6, "And turning the cities of Sodom and Gomorrha into ashes condemned with an overthrow, making an ensample unto those that after should live ungodly;"

Jude 1:7, "Even as Sodom and Gomorrha, and the cities about them in like manner, giving themselves over to fornication, and going after strange flesh, are set forth for an example, suffering the vengeance of eternal fire."

E. Homosexuality Is Incompatible With Going To Heaven.

1. 1 Cor 6:9-10, "Know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Be not deceived: neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor abusers of themselves with mankind, {10} Nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners, shall inherit the kingdom of God."

2. Rev 21:8, "But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death."

IV. Can The Homosexual Become A Christian?

A. Absolutely, there is no sin so great that God cannot forgive it!

Isa 1:18, "Come now, and let us reason together, saith the LORD: though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool."

B. Even though God Loves You Un-Conditionally --- there is still Something You Must Do --- in order to be Accepted into heaven.

1. God Gave his only Son to die for you.

Rom 5:8, "But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us."

2. John 3:18, "He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God."

3. Luke 13:3, "I tell you, Nay: but, except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish."

C. There were Homosexuals Converted in New Testament times.

1 Cor 6:9-11, "Know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Be not deceived: neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor abusers of themselves with mankind, {10} Nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners, shall inherit the kingdom of God. {11} And such were some of you: but ye are washed, but ye are sanctified, but ye are justified in the name of the Lord Jesus, and by the Spirit of our God."

D. However, keep in mind: --- Luke 13:3, "I tell you, Nay: but, except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish."
