TCS’ers
at Spring Festival of India 2001

Tricity India Association celebrated the Capital
District’s second Spring Festival of India of this Millennium on May
6th 2001 at Empire State Plaza Convention Center, Albany.
Over the last few years, the Indian community here has grown to over a thousand
families resulting in a huge mass of people.
TRICITY has organized this
function to bring together all Indians at one place and celebrate their customs & traditions
through dances, songs, food etc.,
Consultants from TCS, Schenectady also participated
actively in this festival in various
activities like dance and display of culture and tradition of different states
of India. A Folk dance of Orissa, Samabalpuri,
was performed by Pradeep Kumar Senapati, Padmaja Nagoor and Shraban Nayak
of TCS along with others. The
information booths displaying the culture and tradition of Orissa were
organized by Tapan Kumar Das, Pradeep Senapati, Shraban Nayak, Saroj
Panda, Uma Shankar Das and others, whereas those of Tamilnadu by Kalai Ezhil Raj, Sitaramnath, Karthikeyan Natesan
and others.
