Delta Boeing 757-232 N6701

Delta Air Lines Boeing 757-232 N6701 is promoting the airline's role as the official airline for the 2002 winter olympics in Salt Lake City (a Delta hub). N6701 is the 100th Boeing 757-200 delivered to the airline. The special scheme, applied by Boeing at its North Boeing Field facilities in Seattle, required 448 pounds of paint and took five days to apply, compared to three days for the airline's regular scheme. Upon delivery, the aircraft embarked on a promotional 'barn-storming' tour of DeltaÕs domestic route system, with stops in Atlanta, Boston, Washington, D.C., New York, Cincinnati, Dallas, Orlando, and Los Angeles.
