		Here I let the characters explain their mission to you, in thier own words.  The quotes are in the order that they apply to the show.
	"I wasn't the only Gundam pilot that was part of Operation Meteor.  There was also Trowa Barton, pilot of the Gundam Heavyarms.  Quatre Raberba Winner, pilot of the Gundam Sandrock.  Wufei Chang, pilot of the Shenlong Gundam.  And Duo Maxwell, pilot of the Gundam Deathscythe.  I don't consider the other Gundam pilots my comrads.  I've never had any comrads from the start.  Just like Relena, this guy who calls himself Duo, is no more that an obstacle to completeing my mission." Heero "There's five right?" Duo "That's right.  Just the five of us that met at New Edwards." Quatre "I came here from the colonies." Duo "I did as well.  The five of us are just the same.  Don't you think?  Our mobile suits and our missions.  Not to mention our objective to destroy OZ." Quatre "OZ destroyed peace in the colonies.  This mission is revenge.  I've been fighting under those orders." Duo "Same with me.  That's when I was given the mobile suit I use." Quatre "Same here.  Don't worry about the colonies..." Duo "Destroy them first.  That's your responsibility." Duo and Quatre "Just the same."Duo "Yeah, word for word." Quatre "I've always fought believing I'd be better off dead.  Rater than living under OZ's rule." Duo "Me too.  But to destroy yourself..." Quatre "Heero ended up doin' it.  He took his life." Duo "The colonies have no intention of fighting.  The colonies can't be sacrificed.  Your friend was the perfect role model." Quatre "I never would've imagined that Heero had such a stubborn streak in him." Duo "It was clear that the colonies would be targeted, once the Gundams got going." Quatre "Quatre it doesn't matter how it happened, but the colonies have teamed up with OZ.  And we have to keep in mind that it does mark the end of a war.  At the same time it means that our missions have come to an end.  From our point of view it's disappointing that the colonies we've been fighting for have changed their perspectives.  That's what happens in wars.  We've got no choice but to accept it.  The only question left is what happens with the remaining soldiers.  What happens within our hearts.  With us Gundam pilots we were completely trained to be soldiers before we even realized it.  When you put everything into a battle you start to think that you can change the times all by ourself don't you?  But Quatre, you're not the only one who feels that way.  We all do.  But the kinder you are the bigger the toll it takes on you.  We have to fight with ourselves, in our hearts, and we have to do it harshly in order to come to the right conclusions.  Even if it means our battles to-date are meaningless.  We have to acknowledge the facts.  The five of us have become nothing but redundant soldiers, Quatre.  So now, lets accept it.  Turn back into the nice guy I once knew.  I just hope that something triggers your mind and calms you down.  Something."
